Default Stall/geared LS1 vs LT1 on 150 shot

I got called out today by a guy in a BONE STOCK LT1 with a 150 shot. I've seen the car in person, the only "mod" is a blowmaster catback.. if you think that is a mod.

I heard he got a kit, and he told me he wants to race tonight. It's a 6spd. I don't think he knows the proper way to install/use spray, so I don't think he'll be up to par. Plus he is on street tires, stock 6spd lt1 (ragged out, higher miles).

My car is:

2000 Z28 a4
Performabuilt lvl2
Yank pt4000
3.73
ported/polished TB + bypass
LS6 intake
MTI lid
275 Nittos
dynomouth catback
untuned
12.75@106 @ 2500+DA

I think if we go from a dig or slow roll I will destroy him, but a high roll he may pull me.

I figure he'll be around 400rwhp if everything is working right and he doesn't blow it up between shifts.

He called me out today, asking if i wanted to race for a couple hundred and yada yada. I'll race him but not for near that much money. I know the car is stock other than the spray, if it's even working. What do you guys think the outcome will be?

I think you'd take the LT1. If he had headers i'd give the win to him

I never did do spray on my a4 lt1, but with lt/ory/tune/3.42s/cai etc, and my LS1 is already a full second faster. And my LT1 was a full second faster after mods than stock. I think I'll be fine.

Just got off of the phone with him, he did a small cam also. He said "a pretty mild one" but IDK if he knows what he's talking about, he said something like 208 212. I doubt he'd go that small with a cam?

get some spray yourself. n20 can really make a diff. if used right. but him on street tires will be a severe disadvantage as nitrous is best used off the line. but also him being a 6 speed with nitrous he will pull away on a roll.

I plan on it some time. Ordering headers/ory next week I think, then i will be doing a cam shortly after, then heads, then spray. That's the plan anyways. Hopefully it's all done over winter.. so when the track re-opens the car will be a different animal. I'm wanting to go with some prostars and mickeys to really hook up though.

Anyways - should be racing tomorrow, and I will vid it. His car is supposed to be getting finished tonight and we were going to run in about an hour but I'm tired and have to work fairly early. I'll give him all day tomorrow to get used to it and make sure everything is working before we run, so we don't have any technical problems.

You better have some spray as well. Your not goin to touch a lt1 with a cam and a 150 shot not gonna happen with the mods you have. Its hard to believe he's put a cam in their without headers

When my Lt1 z was stock running 13.9 (6spd) I installed a NX shark nozzle kit set on 150 she would run consistent 12.3s.
Longtubes, duals, 1.6 rockers, Ls1 lid, 4.10s and drag radials i would run 11.3s
So you gotta watchout closely
