My mom could have launched better than I did against Mark in the 3rd round. Next time I'll let her race him, she might have been closer....

Too bad for Lou.. he didn't make it very far. I'm sure you were giving him **** about it though for blowing his drivetrain before he even made it to the start line.

Pretty much a drag race around seekonk speedway. 1 lap, winner stays for the next round, loser is eliminated. When it gets down to the last 2 cars it's a 2 lap race. Supposed to be street legal, registered cars.

I'll be there for that. I don't think I'll have as big of an advantage as I do in the spectator drags.

so whats the big deal with the 100ft drags.. Sounds pointless.

Spectator drags sounds fun and although I'm worried about getting hit or hitting the wall I am still gonna do it sometime with the rx7.

I think the rx7 would do well as it handles as well as it moves out on a drag strip. Only big downside is I cant do spectator drags on et streets (that wouldent end well lol) and if I try to launch on drag radials (I have 555Rs) or street tires (also have Azenis 615s) I wheel hop like crazy.

Bring it to the spec drags sometime. Nitto 555r's are the best you can use. ET streets are illegal. Anything 100 treadwear or higher is legal.

I've got to see how they handle. I havent even pushed the car to the limit yet anywhere other than in a straight line and I'm a new driver.. so it'll be interesting. I may just go with the street tires the first time out because they seem more predictable.

How fast do you get goin around the track? (obviously I know this depends but I'm saying on avg or give me a realistic range) My second gear is only good till about 60.. and I'm wondering if I'm gonna be right between 2nd and 3rd in the straights.

And when is the next spectator drags.. looks like on the website they only run like 4 or 5 a year and there wont be another till aug 2nd. I thought they ran em like every weekend

I use Nitto 555r drag radials all around on my car. Even in front . I never personally looked at my speedometer, but there's some youtube clips of Glassman's car where they used a radar gun. 65 mph was normal for his car and one run he got up to 66 when he was really pushing it hard. You might be on the rev limiter at some point. Just watch out for that Mark guy.. he likes to race real close to you on purpose to make you nervous, he even admit he does that to me.

man i wanna enter my car there one day but im also too nervous about getting hit. some of them guys always come within inches. last yr when i went the final 4 were all camaros but the 1980 and a 3rd gen was the last 2. im so surprised how well the 4th gens do around that track. also some of the nissan 240's handle awesome too but they need more power
