Default Michigan Engine Builders?

I'm looking for someone in Michigan to build me a forged motor for my 06 Monte Carlo SS 5.3 LS4 front wheel drive. Obviously someone that some of you have utilized and have been happy with the work.

Car is currently running a Cartuning turbo kit as shown in sig below on stock motor. My plan is bore to 3.90", Diamond forged pistons, Callies Compstar H beam rods, LS6 intake manifold, ported heads, LS6 cam or turbo grind. Current Turbo is a T66, intercooled, and also running methanol injection. I will step up to a T72 for the new motor and hope to make 600-650hp. We estimate I'm making somewhere around 450 or so now.

Any recommendations on a builder?

Billy Briggs is probably your best bet. He is quite busy though.

Billy had a hand in building the motor that went 6.86 in 'Casper'

Here is the article: http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicl...aro/index.html

He is right in the Detroit area.

I second the previous sections. Might be useful to call Livernois Motorsports - they'll definately know.

If you're in Michigan, you have a lot of REALLY good options. I don't think you can go wrong with anybody posted to this thread.

Bob at Exotic is the man. Livernois, open your wallet.

Been there done that. Exotic has a great reputation for a long time.

From one Michigander to another.
