Default alternator relocation bracket

Can the larger truck alternator fit with the alternator relocation bracket the puts the alternator on the top passenger side of the engine?

Yes if you remove power steering and have to cut off a large part of the bracket

Why would the power steering have to be removed, I want the bracket that puts the alternator over the factory tensioner on the passenger side valve cover

here it is, you cant see it but the bottom side is braced to keep the alt. from twisting. its sturdy as hell, but keep in mind im running an electric wp and no power steering, so i just run a short belt. also i have a pin on ws6 hood so i have enough clearence to mount it up a little higher

If that alternator is from the BBC vortec 8.1 v8 I'm not sure it will fit
if it's from the gen3-4 ls- style like the 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, 6.2 etc it will fit
but I think your talking about the BBC alt.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I got my SmokinHawk bracket (that i've had for quite some time lol) installed last night on the 67. Thought it'd be worth showing some pics of it installed. Will need to get a belt for it but need to clean up the PS pump/bracket first before I install it on the head.
