my buddy has both. he constantly comments about how the GTO has SO much more low end than the cobra, and the cobra is putting 447 to the wheels....
all the gto has is a dyno tune from speed inc.
I think the GTO is a little heavier, but other than that, i feel it is superior stock for stock to a cobra. (even though the cobra looks a hell of a lot better!)

comfortable, probably has better fit & finish, etc, etc, etc...but it
definitely is slower stock for stock. There is no disputing that.
It's really just a matter of personal taste. I love the feel of the GTO's
and obviously the LSx platform. The Grand Prix look kills it for me though.

If you want a daily driver and a track car,the goat would rule.
If you want a pure race car and don't care as much about comfort,the cobra would rule.
I like the mixture of both,so I chose the goat.

stock while cracking off 12.60's. As I previously stated, Cobras are faster
in stock trim...and that is undisputable. You can't blame a car for someone's
poor driving skills.

shows fords skill at certain things and lack of skill at others.....my long belief is that the cobra is a great car.....not because of the motor, but the blower....
the ford 4.6 is honestly a not that good of a motor.....id never own a GT mustang, i drive a crown vic at work now, and i hate it.....put a blower on it....maybe then we could talk
