Found an ONLINE STORE that sells GC 0W-30!!
http://www.proformanceusa.com/mall/c...&DESC1=autosyn
it's expensive though - $8.08/qt. but for you guys that can't find it, now's your chance! it's really no more expensive than amsoil though
i'm not 100% sure this is the made in germany 0W-30, but i've never seen any castrol 0W-30 for sale online so if someone wants to take a chance and purchase, maybe they can find out for us
the reason why i think it may be german made is the certifications:
API SL/SJ/SH/CF or CD
ACEA: A3/B3/B4
VW 502.00, 505.00, 503.01
MB 229.1, 229.3
BMW LONGLIFE-01
ILSAC GF-3
it's for mercedes benz and BWM's. they're german cars where strict oils are required such as GC 0W-30. also, it's the ONLY OIL on the page that exceeds "all car and light truck manufacturer's warranty requirements for the protection of gasoline, diesel and turbocharged engines". basically, this thing exceeds use in ANY CAR. that sounds like GC to me!!! lemme know what you guys think!
FWIW, the FAQ sheet is listed as Wayne, NJ and i believe that's where GC 0W-30 is imported to.

well, shipping is free and chances are you're likely to pay no tax...so really it's like 2 bucks a quart more. for some people that are desperate for it and can't find it though, this may be a GODSEND! a lot of people can't get their hands on this stuff and any GC is better than no GC

I for one am happy you posted this. I'll be buying a couple quarts just to be sure it's the right stuff and once it arrives if it is I'm going to load up!! I have no issue paying 8 bucks a quart for this. Thanks ChocoTaco!
EDIT: I just emailed them to see if they will tell me what it says on the back of the bottle but all the information points to it being the right stuff.

np mike/ yea, that's awesome. let us know if it's the right oil! this site may get a ton of business. i know the guys on LS2.com and camaroZ28 would love this info too! remember where you heard it first (damn right i want the credit)
i figure it like this:
yes, it's 8 bucks a quart, but it's free shipping to your door.
my nearest autozone is 20 miles away. that makes a round trip of 40 miles @ 20mpg @ $3.25 a gallon for gas = $6.50 just to drive to autozone.
$5.49/quart x 6 quarts = $32.94 x 1.06 (tax) = $34.91 for the oil.
$34.91 + $6.50 = $41.42 all said and done
-or-
get it online for $8.08 x 6 quarts + $2.50 for handling = $50.98 (okay so you'll have to buy another quart since it's free shipping for orders of $50 or more but you get the idea).
okay so it's $9.50 more than going to autozone all said and done but it's at the added convenience of to-your-doorstep delivery and an extra $9.50 is a small price to pay when you don't even have any german castrol at your local autozone! just stop buying those damn 10 dollar K&N's and get the 3 dollar napa gold's. there, problem solved
i guess if you live right next to an autozone, this logic does not apply

Hopefully they don't pull a switcheroo and send old Castrol 0w30 stock. But if they did, just send it back and tell them you want the stuff which passes those specs listed in the ad, as only the German made 0w30 passes those specs. The old US made stuff never would pass those specs.

>Hello,
> I noticed you sell the Syntec 0W-30 oil on your site. Can you please confirm that on the back of these bottles it says "Made in Germany"? There are 2 types of this oil one made in NJ and the other has a red label that says "Made in Germany".
>Thank You.

Me and a buddy just placed an order. They don't take my charge card so my buddy ordered it for me since he needed oil for his C6 anyway. I'll post up when mine arrives to confirm it is the right stuff but I will return it if it is not. I have the above email as proof in case they pull a fast one but I trust that it is the stuff we want.

beautiful, great to see you have the guts to be the guinea pig mike. let us know the results. who knows, if we draw enough business, and i have a feeling we could, i bet we could get them to drop their prices. think about it - we get them some trial business from our site, LS2, camaroZ28 and all those other LSx owners out there, then we coax them into becoming a sponsor, they drop to ~$6 a quart and we never have to run to autozone again
okay, maybe i'm getting a little ahead of myself but honestly, is this so far fetched? the biggest problem with people buying GC is availability. if we could get the price matched to the price of mobil 1, i bet we could get half this site to buy directly from this website.

I'll keep buying it from AZ, I've noticed every time I buy 9 qts (or more)of GC at a time it always rings up at $3.99 per quart.
This has happened every time I've purchased 9 or more quarts and at several different AZ stores.
Its got to be triggered by quantity because the first time this happened I paid for them and completed the transaction then had my wife go grab 3 more quarts - they rang up at the original price of $5. LOL
I put those back!
