Default Annoying squeal!

This is a long shot but i noticed that my car has a really annoying squeal when i drive it. I dont remember any particular incident that could have led to this, i kinda just noticed it one day. I highly doubt that it's a belt because imy belt squeals when there is moisture and this squell is a lot higher pitched. It's not too noticable with the windows up but you can DEF hear it when they are rolled down. It sounds kinda like when metal squeals and it squeals weather im going 20 or 60mph. So if anyone had any ideas or know what i should WD-40 let me know thanks.

Try the idler pulleys, tensioner pulley, A/C pullies. There is a good thread in this section about re-greasing your pullies. I did this and it quieted them right down.

Well, the noise is coming from the rear of the car. My cousin said it may be the brake tabs squeeling. Is this true? I thought the brakes only squealed when the brakes were applied.

If a caliper bolt is frozen, it could cause the brakes to hang thus squealing.

The brakes squeal when they are applied because of dust build up between the back of the disc and the caliper, and the vibration caused by pressure.

Since the pads are always against the rotors, whether the brakes are applied or not, the wear tabs will contact the rotors when the pads are sufficiently worn. They will then squeal continuously.

The answer is yes, it could be your brake tabs. It would also be an easy check, and an easy fix if that's what it turns out to be.

Ok, well the squeal is super annoying. How would i check if it were the tabs or not? The squeal is there continuously but seems to dissipate at highway speeds but is really noticeable at low speeds.
