Replaced Fuel Filter; Car Won't Start
Replaced my fuel filter just a little bit ago and tried to start up my car. You can kind of hear it trying to turn over for just a second and then all you hear is the starter going.
I took off the gas cap and unplugged the fuse for the fuel pump to kill the pressure, replaced the filter, put the gas cap and fuse back in, and now I get this. Any ideas?

And FWIW, yes I did turn the key on and off a few times to prime it. The car was running when I pulled the fuse to kill the pump. Maybe that had something to do with it? That's how I was always taught to kill pressure.

we did a new fuel filter on my moms suberbon a while back and after about 10 minites of driving the fuel pump just went out! the car started and sputted and shut off then it got worse and just dident start! it could also be that the pump could have gone out. see if u can hear the pump primeing good when u turn the key to on!

Yup I can hear it going. I'm starting to think that since I pulled the fuse and let the engine run off of the gas that was in the line, it might just take a good amount of priming before the car will fire. The car ran for a good 8-10 seconds after I pulled the fuse, so that's quite a bit of fuel the pump will have to prime back.

How would I know if gas is getting to the injectors?
I had quite a bit of gas come out when I took the old filter off, but not a whole hell of a lot. I turned the key off and on for about 5 minutes and it still won't go. I have a feeling my battery is getting low since the battery was turned on for so long without the alternator going, so I'm going to try to charge up the battery and prime it some more.
