My alternator is mounted down low. Where are
you relocating from, and why would a stock
bracket set not do it for you?

I'm doing a turbo build as well. I need to locate my alternator as snugly as possible to the passenger-side upper part of the engine. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe a truck mount????

Here's AEI's bracket on a car we installed it on this weekend. Can't ask for a better machined part in my opinion! Fits nice and snug. This was on a ASP pulley for those wondering.

Wouldn't that still be kind of in the way for a Turbo build?..

It is designed specifically to clear a 6.0 manifold setup, that's the cool part about it!

Ahhhh Gotcha...That is pretty sweet! Does it use a stock alt?... Does it come with that pulley?... Can I get a PM with pricing info?

They sell it as a complete kit, or you can just buy parts. The only way they could get it to clear the 6.0 manifold setup is to run a smaller alternator. It still cranks out 75max amps (stock is only 100), which should be perfect for a car with no AC. I'll let them PM you, or i hit me up on a PM later today if you still haven't received anything from them.

The kit, if you buy the alternator, comes with their custom alternator pulley, and they cut you a deal on the crank pulley if you buy that at the same time as well. Good stuff!!

Reviving from the dead.........so has anyone tried the one mounted low on the passenger side where the a/c comp would be found? i'm gonna try calling them tomorrow to ask some questions.

it's a bit more than some of the others but not the most expensive and it's all top notch materials! if it works its definitely worth the extra to keep from having to mount the alt up high and i don't have the option for v'bands on my manifolds as it's a complete kit thats already high temp coated as well.

correct me if i'm wrong but are you saying the d/s one is also able to be used with the non modified truck manifold kits (non v'banded)?

it says nothing about that on his site pertaining to the driver side bracket, only the passenger side piece.
