Default My Custom CAI

4 Inch tubing, big air filter and some pipe...ready to catch flack for the open design, but it made a big difference and it was cheaper than a lid.

Yes the hood shuts, BARELY. Thoughts, opinions?

Looks good but arent you going to need a bracket or something to secure the radiator? Maybe your not done with the whole project yet.... The intake looks good though.

How much was it total cost??
I think if you cleaned your engine bay it would give it a better appearance.

+1 and try to spread out the blue oil on the filter well, looks like it is built up in certain areas.

some simple green and a hose will make your engine bay look alot better

where is your upper radiator mount? and i doubt it made a big difference. lets say it adds 5hp max, and you have 350 hp stock. that's less than a 2% increase in hp. one wants to convince themself that it is a big difference and a result is the butt dyno goes out of calibration. not trying to rain on your parade, but props for being different.

Radiator doesn't move at all....why would it?

Total cost? Maybe 80 bucks, cheaper if I knew exactly what pipes to buy.

yes, the engine bay is hideous, guy who owned it lived on a dirt road, I am still back pedaling trying to catch up on cleaning it out.

5HP? I would argue maybe 10, as a lid would add.

It BARELY clears the hood, barely.

Rain away!

The CAI looks good, just as good as my K&N FIPK. nice work, and keep working on that engine bay.

the radiator is most likely pressing the upper coolant hose against the water pump right now...the lid assembly base also serves the purposes to hold the top of the radiator inplace..

also it caps the top if the radiator to force more incoming air through it...

just add duct tape.lol.you need good air flow to the radiator.take it for a short test ride, watch the coolant temps.

^ What they said, without that upper plastic piece, the AC condenser and Radiator are just kinda hanging loose. Mine were anyways. Now even worse since I deleted my AC... if I take my upper support off I can move my radiator quite a bit.
