Default Fast 102 on an LQ4

Thinking about going with a Fast 102 intake on my LQ4 with Cathedral Port Heads. Ive heard that I would have to clearance the waterpump to make this work. Can anybody tell me how much i would need to clearance and possibly a pic of a what the waterpump looks like after being trimmed. Would i need to do anything else to make it work, im switching from a Fast 90. FYI Im also looking to buy a Fast Intake with throttle body if anybody is looking to get rid of one.

It really varies from what I've seen. You will have to clearance it, but doing so shouldn't cause you any issues regarding it's functionality.

You can see where I started grinding above that bolt. I ended up having to take off some to the left as well. Nobody can give you a measurement, you'll just need to put it on and test fit everything and take it off to grind. Do it in several stages instead of trying to get it perfect in 1 or 2 tries. Many people grind too much and have to buy a new pump because it breaks through to the inside.

I think I found a new waterpump that won't require clearancing

Will the belt still line up with the other parts of the ls1 accessory drive?

Yes. Here's the pump other guys are buying:

Page 7 of my build thread guys are talking about it. You might ask them specifically if you have questions/doubts.

I'd at least try grinding it yourself first and possibly save $200. I highly doubt mine has been weakened by the grinding. It's very light and in just the right spots if you do it in stages.
