Finding leak in AC System..
Well.. My AC had stop blowing cold, so I bought one the little refill kits at Checkers and charged the system back up..
Well, it's been about 2months and the damn thing isn't chilling again.
When I put my ear near the EVAP canister there seems to be leak down near the AC Compressor. Is there anyway find the leak, or should I just get a new compressor.
I have a pic of my EVAP canister, and it looks nothing like the ones that I've seen on all the other cars. I guess the AC system on my was changed out or something.
I have a few pics that shows my evap canister.. AC Pics

they have AC dye, that's sometimes already in the R134 can, that you put in the AC system and you shine a black light on all the AC lines and where the dye is, that's where the leak is. You can also look at all the connections on your AC lines, and where there is usually debris and a slimmy type residue (pag oil usually), then that's where your leak is also.

Do you have a pic of under your hood? The EVAP canister on late model f-bodies are on top of the fuel tank. If your talking about the reciever/drier which is on the passenger side of the engine, that may be bad also.

That big tin can is the AC receiver/drier; I just replaced mine at $75 bucks...

If it is in the high pressure side it is a reciver-drier. If it is located in the low side it is an accumulator. That's really the only difference between them , most GM cars are accumulator equipt including F-car, just a FYI.
