Has anyone had problems with taylor wires???
Hello! My friend has LS6 with ss headers. He bought a set of taylor LS1 header spark plug wires and got lots of error code "random missfire" . After he changed back to stock wires problem was gone. Can some one explain this? And what should i do because i have same situation -only i can fit stock wires because of headers .

Nope and I hope I don't get any especicially with that problem- Knock on wood-Did you just get wires or did you get sparkplugs as well, I did both w/ the installation of my LT headers?

Use a voltmeter on the wires and figure out which ones are bad and send them back. That is not right, and should be replaced under warranty. I have taylor thundervolt wires and have never had a problem.

I had Taylor Spiro Pro 8mms and I had one come apart on the spark plug when trying to check the plugs, had one that was very loose and wouldn't seat after a while, and another one broke while changing plugs... seemed to be more flimsy than stock wires, which I went back to. Haven't had any problems with my OEM replacements I got from Napa.

I have the Thundervolts and they've worked flawlessly. Like the other guys said, use a voltmeter if possible to locate the bad wire and contact Taylor to see about a replacement. Did you purchase them from a site sponsor? Maybe you can get in touch with them and see what steps you need to take.

I had one Thundervolt that had a loose clip in the spark
plug boot and worked itself loose on the highway at 100+.
Thought I broke something but the scan tool showed me
which one plain as day in the misfire history, found the
boot was just sort of sitting on the plug. I crushed the
clip slightly with the Channel-Loks and no more problem.
