Default o2 sensors socket needed or wrench ?

to take out o2 sensors do you need to buy that special socket ? thanks

You dont really need the socket......a closed ended wrench will work just fine.

I've always taken them off with a crecent wrench.

they socket is nice but not needed. i just did mine and a wrench worked fine.

Special socket is more for installing, and not munging
the wires. It's too weak (at least mine is) for breaker
duty. Nothing wrong with an open end wrench except
for the convenience of ratchet action.

I just had to pull one out yesterday to take off one of my Cats and I used an open ended 7/8'' wrench.

open end wrench will do the job just fine, dont waste you money, save it for MODs, lol!!

I personally used the closed end of the 7/8 wrench to remove mine since they were pretty rusted. If I rememeber correctly I had to squeze the plug throught the wrench it was tight but it fit with alittle effort.
