Default Under drive pully?

I'm still looking for an underdrive pully.
I'm just not sure what one to go with.

Does anyone have any advice?
How much will one really help out?

I've heard good things about the ASP and SLP models. I'm sure they are as good as the other. Just makes sure your tensioner is good or you might end up throwing a belt.

no complaints about my ASP....

only threw the belt once....in the driveway at start up...been on for almost 5yrs.

for the most part they're all the same.

you'll never feel the 5-8hp that you'll gain....and probably the "it revs faster" thing is in your head.

but they do function...

Agreed, MOST SOTP feeling has to be above a 10-15% gain to feel it in your ***. But the car will show it at the track.

Its a great mod to do when your doing a cam since the crank pulley is a PITA

I went with the Powerbond 25% UD Pulley and no problems. Got the Pulley, belts, and bolt for about $200 from SDPC a sponsor here.

+1 for powerbond, same as the SLP, got it for 200$ with bolt and belts on here, maybe noticed a gain maybe not, too small to tell, but dont have any charging issues and keeps from frying your power steering should you ever race it real hard, autoXing a stock ls1 makes those power steering pumps cry....

i have the asp pulley, its been on my car for about 7k miles and no problems. the only thing latley that i have noticed is that when im movin my car with out giving it gas just letting it move on its own power, the power steering something cuts in and out. i was told that was normal becuase the underdrive pulley is makin the power steering pump spin slower, which means it has a hard time keeping up wit it. i plan on taking the power steering out and putting a manual rack and pinion in soonn.
