Which Ram Air Setup?
Ok, so i need a lil help with this. Im not sure what to run with for this setup.....
Im thinking of getting the Suncoast Creations Z Style Ram Air hood. Now i know, some of you guy's might not like it, but i like it and it's something different and that's what im looking for. I noticed that you can get a R/A kit to have the hood functional but.....
Ive pretty much had my mind set on getting a FTRA Kit w/ SLP Lid & a Smooth Bellow.
Now my question is, when it comes to Performance. Which is better?? The FTRA Kit or the Kit to make the hood functional??? I dont really care if the hood is functional or not, but i want to get the right R/A kit.
Also, by looking at the way the hood is. Do you guy's think i would have any problems if i go with the FTRA Kit w/ SLP Lid??? Like rubbing issues & etc.

Hmm, nahh i dont mind buying a setup. Really just wondering, which would be better, a kit like the FTRA Kit or the SLP FlowPac or the kit to have the Ram Air hood functional.
I decided that im just going to go ahead and get the FTRA Kit w/ SLP Lid & A Smooth Bellow

The Fast toys ram air or ssra is the way to go for max hp for an off the self buy for "ram air"...best performance will be found from a bottom breather ram air setup hands down...bottom line ftra is the way to go...

We sell the FTRA's and the Suncoast hoods. The FTRA is going to make more power. If you want a hood, buy it because you think it looks great, not because you are looking for maximum HP gain.

i remember someone with a firebird / trans am made a ram air setup similiar to that but it scooped up air from the front where you would mount a license plate.. he just cut that opening out. anybody know where i could find a link for htat? it looked pretty badass.

FTRA, love it for sure. Changed that, lid, p&p tb, bellows all at the same time, so I cannot say it made a difference by itself, but I could sure notice a difference from the combination. So far, the hardest part of my cam swap tho has been getting those stupid wing nuts back off from the FTRA kit, that was a PITA but I am sure nothing compared to getting out the radiator and fans tomorrow morning...
