Default MY RAM AIR VS. stock setup...How much HP Dif...TRACK RESULTS TOM.

I am tired of all the spectulation about if ram air really works or if it is just cold air or just skewed data...I tried to prove that it really does ram air doing a test and the results were about 11in H20 difference over a stock setup under WOT at about 100mph (in my case about half of the drag strip 1/8-1/4)...but there are still doubter and non believers...

So tomorrow i am going to do four passes, 2 with the custom ram air, and two with it fully taped off and only the stock open slit open(stock condition)...

So i am not testing just the cold air or ram air effect i am testing the over performance...

Make your guesses i will have video and pictures tomorrow or early saturday...

I know this wont put the arguement to rest but should at least enlighten some...

I have a similar set up on my car as well. I'd be interested to see the results. I'm going to say .1-.2 tenths faster with 2 mph picked up. Good luck!

my "sux2bu" setup gave me a solid 2mph improvement and i don't care what anybody says. it also keeps my iat's within 5 degrees of ambient temp in the staging lanes. ram air for the win

i stayed off campus for a couple years north of the strip off of 51 right after the railroad tracks there is an apartment complex on the left...we lived in the 3 bedroom house...when i was on campus i lived at T.P. and the towers for one year...

5 year plan haha

and yeah i had my car dwon there for like 3 years i just graduated in december...had some fun street racing went to the track 2 twice and it sucked no spray at all i actually thought i could get better traction on the return road

nice setup, you should make some extra ponies with that. most of the people that say ram air has no effect try to give some scientific explanation, which makes no sense. good luck

I have to agree, If youre only going with the small slit in the front. Youre cutting all the airflow from the bottom. With that being said Ill be making mine this weekend Good luck Chris hit the tens.
