Default sux2bu style ram air results

IT WORKS

currently no pics but it looks like his. I have 2 6'' to 4'' funnels at the air holes. then 4'' piping up to another set of 4'' to 6'' funnels under the lid.

so before the ram air on motor-
Density Altitude = 1076 feet ET MPH
Uncorrected 11.101 @ 120.83
Corrected 10.97 @ 122.21

after the ram air- (1 week later)
Density Altitude = 1735 feet ET MPH
Uncorrected 11.024 @ 121.88
Corrected 10.81 @ 124.21

So there you have it! Thats a SOLID gain. My car also runs very consitant. Tonight the 60' was best 1.52 and worst 1.55. With about 5 times all being 11.0x at 121.xx. The same with last week but slower lol.

PICS

Also, what were the 60' times? This is important, because the ram air is going to have zero affect at this point...

both were about the same. 1.55 - 1.52

I think anything over 60 or so and it really starts working. My top end in first, around 70-75, felt like it just wanted to keep pulling. Before it would just kinda fall off.

Cool! I gotta post some pics of my setup too. We used 6" to 4" rubber reducers and Jegs neoprene 4" brake ducting hose. It turned out awesome.

I don't really have any before and after results because I did a bunch of **** over the winter, but I added 70-80lbs to my car (9", BMR drag bar) and still ran within .01 of my best ever time at my local 1/8 track.

not totally true.. on my car we saw a huge reduction in iat temps in the staging lanes which in turn took away a kr issue at tip in. my 60' times did improve due to having more timing and less heat. just an fyi

Having been in the car a number of times before and then riding in it last weekend after he finished this, I can vouch for how much smoother it feels at the top of 1st, and it feels a little quicker on the butt dyno all the way around.

I'm glad you were very scientific about obtaining the results. It looks good too. You just need to get your front bumper painted and you're good to go.

Back when I had just lid/freemods I went from a 12.95 110 to a 12.62 @112 making a sux2u. And the weight removel needed, front bumper support 19#, washer bottle 5?,underhood AC 34#.
And I noticed when the foam on the front sealing up the lower airbox pops out, I'd trap 1.5-2mph less. So you just pop the hood, and push it back in there and the trap picks back up.
