Default LS1 ARP head studs

Hi all

I have an ls1 that i am building with a set of Dart Pro heads. The block is a brand new crate block. I am having problems with a set of head studs i got as they were the wrong ones.
What's wrong is that the threads in the block are different lengths from the top ones to the bottem ones.

Can someone please help me with getting the right length studs?

Thanks, Daniel

I'm not sure if this affects you or not... but I'll be buying ARP head bolts for my car soon, and noticed that there is a different part number for 2004+ blocks.

So maybe you have the wrong part number?

There are at least two that I am aware of, and one has all the same length. What is the number on your kit? If you have a new crate block, it is likely the later design.

Also, there is stamp on the front of the block that gives the date. Look right on top of where the passenger cylinder head goes at the front of the block.

Mine says E274 which means May 27 2004 so I have the new style that uses all the same bolts.

So i have checked all the hole depths in this new block and they are all the same length.
So what arp stud kit number is it for them?

Thanks Daniel

My 6.0L block took all the same length studs, but mine are 1/2" studs.
