Default Which Cam - 240/244 or 239/247

All things being equal in 2 ls1 fbodies, which cam would win the race?

Vindicator 240/244 .605/.596 on 112 or
Comp 239/247 .624/.624 on 112

Thanks.

Let me make this as painless as possible. This question has no legitimate answer. Since our engines are mass produced there has been proven differences up to 20 hp difference between engine in the same cars made in the same year and month. But you'll have every one try and make a shot in the dark guess.

OK, let me rephrase the question.
Which cam would be quicker in the quarter mile?

You may get some legit ponderings if you broke it all the way down to 2 cam only (w/valve train mods to support the cams) 19XX or 200X LS1's on the same engine dyno...........you might just want to ask about the characteristics of each engine based on each cam design.

The Vindicator is a pretty bad *** cam. I used to have that cam, it pulled hard and had decent drivability for such a big cam. I dont have any experience with the other cam.

The best cam in the world can't help a shitty lanch and someone who can't drive.

Too many variables to say which is better

The one that is well supported (modwise) will get on top. It is really splitting hair between the 2. One is XER/XE and the other is LSL, valve events are almost identical, 240 at 18* overlap and 239 at 19* overlap

I have the second cam but on a 111+4 and 243 exhaust lobe...times in sig

but seriously both cams will be very close to one another...make sure to check PTVC with both...if it is more a street oriented car you might want to go with a slightly smaller cam in the 23x range...it will make plently of power trust me, my cam only times are with a 230/230 predator z speced cam search el torro
