cts-v wanna go big cam -options-
I've had 2 f bodies with decent cams which i loved. But as far as daily driving they were ok but neither started the best.
What im getting at is that i want a larger cam that is easy to tune. Ive been out of the lsx game for awhile now and not sure on some of the new cams out there.
Car has Longtutubes and full exhaust as far as mods and don't have plans to change anything else. Would like 400+ to tire. The more the better.

Dont go too big IMO, my car pulls great up top but down low isnt the greatest. Its a lot of car to move and for a daily driver i wouldnt want a cam thats only gonna make power from 5000-7200.
And +1 call Geoff at EPS, he just specced me a cam for my ls1/t56 coupe that i hope to have runnign next month.

Predator Z on here once talked to me about a cam for my GTO that I've always been curious about.... He had some damn good reasoning behind it as well.
Predator-Z "GTO is a heavy car, so trq is one aspect you should look at instead of peak numbers.
230/230 .612/.592 111+2 LSA
is what I recommend. It acts bigger than it is, is a reverse split at .200 lifts so big trq output, rvs till 6600 with a powercurve that is almost linear.
That grind has sent a 3350lbs pony with a ss4000 stall into the high 10s. He made 420 rwhp and 390 rwtq cam only.
the specs are
intake lobe 3016r
Exhaust lobe 3725r
111 LSA
109 ICL"
I wound up going with a streetsweeper HT from Ed Curtis (Includes:
"SweetSweeper-HT" Camshaft
Specs: 228*-232*-111*-.612"-.600") And have always liked its power band, but feel it could have lived with a bigger cam. The lope of this cam is pretty intoxicating though.
My point in this is that with the CTS-V's weight, you'll have to look at the aspect of torque. Either of these cams would provide the powerband you're looking for but also a very broad torque curve.
I have also dealt with andrew at complete street performance. If you call him he will talk to about all the aspects you're wanting and then grind you a custom cam to what you both agree on....excellent guy to do business with.

Call eps 'engine power systems' I just ordered my cam from him for my 02 z06. Just tell them what your looking for and theyll hook you up. I searched cams for months, took 5 min on phone with them and I was set. They know there stuff and get you will a cam that satisfy YOUR NEEDS. Off shelf cams a proven but everyone I looked at had that one negative, I told them what I was looking for and they are having one cut that fits me. Price are better then most also.

Thanks everyone so far.
I bought my first heads/cam package from Jason at Texas speed so that is a option for sure. Any One familiar with their tourqer line of cams?

I was about to recommend you take a look at our torquer v.3 camshaft. It is a great cam for an aggressive street driven vehicle. It has a very aggressive idle because of the 111 LSA and the lobes that come on it, but once tuned it is still easy to drive because it doesn't have a ton of duration to it.

Tourqer v 3 is on top of my list currently.
What u think of the tsunami for my setup? what would get me the most out of the car
This will c some auto x. Track days and a lil strip action. But mostly street action.

Lol the torquerv3 will eat up springs like no tomorrow it hardly fits your intended use. The tsunami is a bit big look at something like 228 232 or not much bigger than that. Your car is very heavy so torque is your friend. Another is you gain more et at the bottom of the gear not the top aka under the curve power.
