yet another cam question.
hello all,
i own a 02 z w/ 34k miles, super clean and garage kept. lid, shorty headers, and catback exhaust. i only drive the car to church on sundays, and road trips with the wife. reliability and mileage to an extent are important. that being said, i got spanked by a cobra the other day and it got me thinking it's time to put a cam in. i read through the cam guide and i seem to fit the 'lazy f#ck' category, so i am thinking a tr224 114 cam. so here come the unanswered questions:
as far as tools it looks like i will need a spring compressor and some dowel rods. any other tooling?
the haynes manual said to replace the lifters w/ the cam, but everywhere else seems to say use the old ones?
am i on track with a decent all around cam? i do not plan on racing the car, maybe hit the track once or twice for kicks.
thanks,
ben

Certainly one of the best all around cams ever made. You could call the fella
who originally designed it for a newer/better version @ EPS. You'll also need
a crank puller and torque wrench to preload the torque to yield balancer bolt.
...wierd seeing my last name as your post name..even spelled the same

not often you find a reinhardt w/ same spelling. talking about pulling crank pulley, would it be worth it to put an underdrive pulley on there? would it adversely affect my a/c? i really like a/c, lol! thanks.
