I was going to get the morels........ but instead I put the new gm cts-v lifter in. I honestly dont think you could go wrong with either one of those..... the morels are about $500 but ARE rebuildable though. the upgraded gm lifter i think was about $250
scoggin has them.

It depends on your goals.... If you plan on an all out setup or spin 7K or above go with the Morel/Lunati lifters. If not, any other will be fine but I'd def stay away from Comp R lifters.

I opted for the OEM replacements since my car only sees street duty. I believe the LS1 replacements are used across the LSx line, including the LS7, so they should be adequate for most peoples' needs. And at $100, they're more affordable than aftermarket lifters.

Would Comp 850-16's hold up to LSK lobes with .639 lift? Or should I look at the CTS-V or LS7 lifters? I don't plan on spinning the engine over 6500.
Sorry bout the hawk.

I don't recall seeing a special "upgraded" lifter for CTS-V's. If there was, why did GM stick with the same lifter they've used since 1987 for the LS7 Z06 that has a factory redline of 7000 and carries a warranty?

The LS7 lifters I bought for my car were different than the factory ones I pulled out, I mean, I don't know if they're exactly the same inside or not, but they definatly look different. Seems like there's more material around the roller and more contact between block and lifter. The machined part around the lifter is longer. Dunno?? I just opted for those for the same reason you said, the LS7 spins 7K and has a factory warranty, good enough for my car...
