my 228/232 cam
So i am going to be getting rid of this cam. it is a great cam, makes a lot of power and sounds great.
i am getting rid of it b/c of the tune problems that i have been having with it.
Warm start issue, idle dips when coming to a stop, bucking and hesitation. but above 2500 RPMs look out
so i am going back to my stock cam

That sucks man, sorry it hasnt worked out for you. That cam does sound damn good. I am looking into getting that same cam for my 02 SS auto. However, I realy dont want to have to deal with a lot of drivability issues because my car is a DD. I Might go with something else now. I have kept up with your posts and was hoping that you would be able to get the problems tuned out. Are you an auto ?

That really sucks dude! FWIW my cam ran perfect on the stock tune! I couldnt believe it! Never stalled, surged, nothing! And of course since the tune it's still great.
I really think you could have all those problems your having solved if you took it to an experienced tuner. People run much larger cams than yours. If you DO take it out, are you going to look into a diff one at all?

Thanks, the cam realyl does sound good... I am not sure if you will have the problems i am having. I think that there might be something worng with my computer as far as the tune goes. As for the bucking goes, if i were to get a 4.10 it would be gone. I am still on my stock 3.42. I am a M6. The cam is great. where you going to get a 110, 112 LSA??

I am a M6 car. You will be happy with it on a 112!!!! I think most of my problems is that it is cut on a 110. I mean it has 10* of overlap, but that is not that much...
Let me know how yours goes on a 112..

That is crazy that your cam ran perfect on your stock tune. What cam are you running? I am not sure if it is the tuner who can not tune it, or the fact that it is a cam.. Then again i know of some people that are running a TRex cam and no problems at all.....
If i do take it out, going to go back to my stock cam.

That is surprising to me. I have a 228/232 cam with a little more lift on the 110 LSA and my car idles very smooth. I have aftermarket heads but I doubt thats the difference. I would check the tune. Sounds like you may be really rich on the low end.
