did I over cam?
running a 416 LS3 with ported L92 heads 65cc with L76 intake.
cam currently is a 232/246 115+4.
For having stock heads and a crappy intake, its kinda ruff around town. Also been tuned 2 times. All I have seen are small cam with these heads...should I drop it down?
on a mustang dyno and 4.10 gear in a C5 it made 465/440

I have almost the exact same cam and have it running great with an A4 on a 403. The idle was a bitch to get dialed though. Still bucks a little when the convertor locks up, but I am locking it up pretty low (around 40). I am sure I could get it better if I spent more time on it too.

It sounds like for the manners you want around town it might be too much cam. Should try a speed density tune. With a SD tune a good tuner can improve its manners around town.
But as for making power your still WAY far off from having too much cam.
I am looking at a 245/250 cam for my 346

My first cam had 19 degrees of overlap and made 480+ RWHP but was pretty much untunable for my purposes. The second cam had 13 degrees and my current one has 11. We also lowered the compression between the first and second cam from 12:1 to 11.4:1 and added a bunch of spark lead.
Total diff from 1st to 3rd cam is over 35RWHP but drivability and mid-range RWHP and RWT is up considerably. These builds are very cam-centric. I can roast the tires with a small romp from 1k RPM and up and smoothly cruise through the neighborhood in 3rd at 1400RPM (27MPH). Tip is is incredible.

Nice thing about an A4 is that I never see full throttle at that RPM for more than a spit second.

Something's way off in that thing. You're missing a big chunk of power. Are the guys that are tuning it, familiar with tuning the L92s? The dont just like a dif cam, they like a dif tune. I've made huge gains in retuning L92 combos for people that have had them tuned elsewhere. The driveability should be good with that cam too. I've tuned some crazy **** and had em come out real nice and drivable.
If they tuned it like a ls1 cathedral motor, I probably know where a good 25-30 hp is.
Also, who built it, and who ported the heads? You can screw up a set of L92s if you're not familiar with them.
Can you post a graph?
It could have a **** valve job. It could have the springs setup wrong. I could go on, but you get the idea.
Plus its on a Mustang, so depending on how its configured, that could be costing you some numbers.
