took the car to the track, N/A solid roller 408
so i took the car down the eight mile track today for the first time in 2 years and the best pass i made so far was a 6.13@114.89 with a 1.42 60ft leaving off the footbrake. i have a 3.89 gear in the car and i am going through the traps in 2nd. ill keep everyone updated once i get more gear and use the trans brake
the DA was 1150ft so it wasnt to bad

the car only has a 3.89 rear gear in it. im gonna put a 5.00 gear in it which will allow me to use 3rd gear in the run and will sixty foot harder and using the brake will help out
i think that i am going to do something with the converter as well i agree it is too tight it wouldnt footbrake over 2200 so i was leaving from an idle

Real good start, that's 9.6x speed already.
I dunno about a 5.00 gear, maybe a 4.56 unless you're planning on only running 1.8th mile stuff.
Car sounds awesome, can't wait to see the post about a 8.xx pass, because if you're starting off where you are, the potential is there IMO.

i got a new camshaft that should make some more power. it is an lsm camshaft. specs are 280/292 @.050 .840/.840 114lsa on a 110icl
i think it will make some good power and than will put more gear and possibly a different converter in it. i will let yall know what it makes compared to the other cam. should have some new numbers by thursday. the goal is to get the car to run 5.7's i think it is very possible. if i have to i will find more weight to cut out of the car.
