i have seen some A4s at the track do ok with ET streets and then i have seen some M6sw blow the rear while on nittos. Its a gamble and depends on what stall converter you have.

Here’s a current thread on another board on the exact same topic.

You will see I have posted a reply in it describing my own sad tale. My converter is pretty mild at a 3200 stall and a 2.1 STR. My E.T. Streets are 26 x 11.5 x 16.

Based on my own experience, I would say you're living on the edge.

I most cases, it is not the ET's that take the rear out but wheel hop. Common mistake is to slap ET's on stock suspention. Some Polyurethane bushings, PH,LCAs and TA's will help the life of the'10' a lot. Of course the higher you stall the higher the risk.

I recently ran my white 99 T/A. While the 10-bolts are pretty weak in the long run, mine proved to be worthy. The car has 52,000 miles and the only mods iclude the TR 224/224 .565/.563 112 LSA cam, Spec S3, and Mac midlength headers w/x-pipe, bullets, and turndowns. Stock suspension/components, 3550 lbs.w/driver, 26x10 stickies and a dry 100 shot-all on the measley little 10 bolt. the car went 11.35 @ 122.78 w/1.56 60'. Hard to believe? Well believe it, and the rear end is in dandy shape. I'd like to see what the best 60' on stock rear is, so please reply.

I've had over 20 passes with ET's and no problem so far. 3000rpm launches. but I repaced rear stock rubber with poly bushings + one air bag in right rear.
