Default CSR Flexplate

Started the motor up first time w/ CSR's new flexplate. The bolt heads on the plate were hitting the starter housing. Had to pull the starter off and grind down the housing to get the flexplate to clear.

Just a heads up.

Talked to csr today as we have had 3 people with the same problem. Send them back and we will either refund your money or install a new shorter bolt.

well, I don't want to cry wolf. I'm going to get my brother in law to check the heads on the converter bolts. maybe it's the converter bolt heads and not the flexplate bolts.

what was the result of the issue? im getting ready to go take my starter off for the same reason.

Does the converter push any? if so ill have to grind on the factory starter housing a little. ill post a picture up later.

I have test-fitted my CSR flexplate (manufactured March-2011) and bolts hit the starter...

Ground down starter housing but now starter bendix occasionally (once in a few seconds on idle) hits ring gear... Is that because of the flexplate too, or did my starter suddenly went wrong?
