Default what to use to install headers

i got some used MAC mid length headers and was wondering what i need to do to install them. do i need new gaskets and bolts? thanks

Here is someone that asked the same question with their LT install. It's virtual the same although I'm not sure if you would need o2 sensor extensions or not, someone will chime in I'm sure.

Yes you'll need new gaskets, and if you break a bolt, you'll need some new bolts. I'm not too sure on the O2 extensions though...my guess would be no...but I may be wrong. Someone with more knowledge...?

Well, the first thing you need to do is sell the Mac mids and get long tubes....

haha, j/k

I always reuse gaskets and bolts. My friends stock manifold gaskets were fine at 115k miles...

Put in some new plugs and wires while you're at it.

yes, do that. its the last time youll have easy access to the plugs unless you swap to LT's

I did motor mounts while i had it apart, but you could add to the list for days to justify moddin the car more

BTW I used percy's gaskets FWIW

Where can you get new bolts locally? besides the stealership

Like Advance auto or autozone or something?

well i would but the motor is in a 96 f-150!!! and the midlength fit the best being that the motor is mid mount and when i took the manifolds off the gaskets looked good so i just reused them thanks!!!!!
