I'm piecing together a kit with FMIC as we speak & I'll be locating mine up top by the fuse boxes. It'll be protected from the weather & closer to the TB.

Take a look at the set-up ran by "Trust". Seems to be workin just fine for him where it's at & it's also safe from the elements.

Mine is safe from the elements, I just don't drive it in the rain...

When I had my dual intercoolers, mine was on the metal plenum. Worked well.

Isnt that going to cause heat soak?

its negligible. not enough to affect anything IMO i never had any problems with it there. From what I've read, its best to have it closer to the TB than further away.

I am finally looking to do this on my setup. I still have the twin coolers. However my meth is in the pipe on the passenger side of car just before the plenum. Put it there cause the guy at Alky said to. Before my IAT. Now if I put the bypass on my plenum am I going to be spraying meth everywhere when I let off the throttle?

I put mine at the first 90 after the supercharger. My thinking was I wanted it in a place and at an angle to eject as much water and gunk from the supercharger as possible.

Kinda a centripital filter....functionally, it probably doesn't make much a difference where you put it.

s/c make boost at all times to some degree. therefor there is pressurized air/heat that needs to be vented to the atmosphere when the TB is closed to avoid compressor surge and strain on the turbine. when the TB is opened the bypass valve closes. They are open during idle and low rpm driving.

A BOV/wastegate is closed to make boost, and when the TB closes the spring/rate that its set too causes it to open and release the excess. or at least thats how I understood it.
