Want to switch H/L's and Fogs to HID, need some help
I've got a 2002 Camaro, and I want to switch over both the Headlights and Foglights to HID. I've been reading through the stickies and have searched some but still need some help on what I'm going to need. I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to switching over to HID lighting so please forgive the ignorance.
What I've gathered so far is that I'll need a projector housing style for the headlights. I've seen two on Ebay, the Sonars and another style. Is that my only option for them? I don't have a stock set of housings, I sold mine a while ago so I can't obviously put the projector in a stock set... I've seen that done before too.
Also, what do I need to use for the foglights? I'll need the brackets and all as the car didn't come with fogs from the factory.
And lastly, what HID kits do I need to buy for both the headlights and the foglights?
Thanks in advance guys.

if you get a stock foglight housing you just need to purchase a 880 HID kit
all the info you need. if you can swap out a headlight bulb, you can put a HID kit in your car. its easy

yes. search 9006 HID kit on ebay, or purchase a 9006 hid kit from ddmtuning.com

I've got 10,000K HIDs for the lows and foglights.
My stock foglight housings were crappy, so I bought a set of Hella Micro De lights and swapped out the stock bulbs for the HIDs. I'm also using non-projector halo headlight assemblies.
This is where I mounted the HID ballasts for the lowbeams.

I don't have a Camaro, but I think this is how it goes..
You can put a 9009 HID kit straight into your car for the lows, and an 894 (I think?) for the fogs. Straight in, plug and play. Or... you could get true projector housings and they will definitely help to reduce glare. A quick search will give you a crapload of projector options.

Check out the Lighting FAQ for info on lighting upgrades in general including projectors and HID.

When searching for projectors, watch out for fake projectors. There are some companies making crappy sealed beam housings and slapping a hunk of glass inside and calling it a projector. That is not a projector and the output sucks. Projectors only have a single filament bulb (even bi-xenon only has one filament). If you see a "projector" listed as using a dual filament bulb (ex: H4) and no cut-off shield, that is a fake projector, avoid it.
Like I said, bi-xenon still only uses a single-filament bulb (or HID capsule). A bi-xenon projector creates a high beam by having a solenoid move the cut-off shield to allow more light higher through the lens to create a high beam pattern.

Also, you can do what you want, but I'd strongly recommend putting HID into projectors instead of Halogen Reflector Housings due to the glare that will result. Each headlight design responds differently and some respond really badly (pretty much all dual filament setups like H4 and 9007 suck -- reason being... the resulting beam pattern is very scattered and shines high like a high beam instead of a low beam pattern which is bad for the eyes of oncoming drivers.).

I have a Camaro. I've read that HIDs are not recommended for use as brights due to them taking time to come on when you switch from brights to dims, is this accurate? How hard would it be to wire it to where the dims stayed on all the time so there was no delay? Is this even feasible or am I misunderstanding something?<---total lighing newb so take it easy on me guys

i keep the halogen brights because they're a bit more yellow which is better for cutting through haze and seeing stuff better.
