Angry Nu-TekMotorsports Please Read!

Has anyone on this board experienced problems with NU-Tek not returning calls or e-mails. I have had some issues that need to be worked out with them but they will not respond to e-mails or phone calls. Up until this point I have been very patient with Nick and his company but you can only be patient for so long before you have to take some type of action. I will share the full details of the issues with you if Nick fails to fulfill his obligation and correct the situation or return my money.

Don't recall much Nutek talk on this site. I know folks around Ohio that have used them, but they are not really widely known here in the LS1 world.

My brother had his 396 LT1 FI stroker put together by nick@nu-tek, He had the same problem as you. No returned calls, no returned emails but they were sure to cash his check right away. He ended up waiting 5 months for his block to get to him. But in the end Nick took care of him, he added in a mildon LT1 oil pan, racemaster crank instead of the dragonslayer and something else but I can't remember what. If you ordered an engine be sure to check that thing out. The cam that was installed in my bro's block had no cam lube on it at all, it was completely dry I am glad we opened that thing up before it went in.
So take it for what its worth. Looks like a lot of places in the LS1/LT1 world like to treat customers like this.

Really bad rep over on the Impala SS side of things a months and months with no call backs, but, quick to charge a credit card or cash a check.

Great motors, but 6 months of waiting for what you paid for? No thanks.

They are known more so for the LT1 stuff as you can see. GM High Tech bought one of their 396s for a LT1 project car atrticle.

I too was attempting to get them to build me a motor several months back. I spoke with them once but after that it was impossible to contact them. Several messages were left on their answering machine and with whomever they have answering their phones. Their customer service downright sucks. I would hate to have one of their motors break and not be able to contact them. A friend had one of their 396s built for his lt1 and after 1k miles, it started smoking. No hard driving. My suggestion, try someone else. Good luck.

Someone else just started a similar thread on CamaroZ28 and it sounds like he is also having problems getting a hold of anyone. Is there a way to find out if the company is in financial trouble?

You can try to find out what the official name of the company is, and run a D&B report. Xh20skier knows how to run those.
