I just got done with my divorce and ended up with the camaro(thank god!) and now my (lq4/s-10 buddy) and I are going to the track on the 3rd for one last run before the winter. you guys think i should put the 150 jets in it and go for it?

stock bottom, zz409 cam, ported intake, ported maf,self ported heads with race flow valves, 13/4-17/8 steped long tubes, magnaflow y back, calaway cai, 58mm t/b, 3200stall, corvette servo, shift kit, 3.73, adj lca's& pan hard, nitto 555's, self tunned with lm-1 and tunnercats, 36# inj, 255 intank pump

ran a 11.65 @ 117 with about a 80 shot, im also pulling front sway bar

i have been using tr6 plugs but the newest plug to use is the br7 i have been hearing alot of good things about these plugs. gap at 32

im running a tr6 also gaped to .035", its a nos dry kit, last year i pulled 2degrees for the 80 shot, with no knock activity(with a splash of 110 in the tank)

the idea(might be a streach) but would be a 10.999999999999 or quicker and i would do a victory dance, i didnt have the lca's last year and cut a 1.76 60', so im hoping for improvment there

So you guys think I should convert to a wet kit? I have been thinking about this for a while. Not to dissagree but why would nos say to run the 150 and not to upgrade to tthe wet conversion???? Thoughts?

You guys obviously are not very experienced with nitrous at all... Some of the guys who spray the most nitrous. (550+ HP) use dry kits. Solves a lot of distribution issues.

As with anything, make sure you have the total setup for it and you'll be fine. However the tune is everything...

You realize you'll need to retune it to spray the 150 right? I dont know what you're doing for the 80 shot, probably jacking up fuel pressure? I wouldn't trust that it will be fine for the 150.

Make sure you have enough injector, get a wideband and slowly work your way up.

Or convert to wet.

Wet is in my opinion easier to tune for smaller shots like were talking.

yea i have an innovative lm-1 wideband in the car now(thats what i used for the 80 shot)
when i asked NOS i asked for steped jeting in 20hp incriments but they just gave me the 150 shot jet sizes, I only have 1 week to decide (last weekend i have off to go to the track before winter)

so have any of you guys sprayed with a 150 dry before?

With 36# injectors and a 255 pump, you should have enough fuel for it.

To be safe, I'd jet up slowly before the track and log the runs to see what % your injectors are at.

Better safe than sorry.

how about feeding a small wet kit and my dry kit from the same bottle/feed line? is that not enough volume? i normaly spray about 5 feet out with the dry kit, i wouldnt mind spraying in stages

I don't see a reason to do stages with such a small shot, and I def wouldn't do it from one bottle.

If your buying a new nitrous kit, sell what you have and buy the best kit in the market: nitrous outlet LT1 plate kit.

I have had DRY set ups before they work well however i just prefer wet kits overall.
