Fog lights without headlights?

Fog lights without headlights?
Does anyone know of a write up on enabling the fog lights full time, regardless of whether the headlights are on or not? Ive seen the writeup for enabling the fogs with the high beams, but I dont think this is gonna do what I want.

OK, I found a wiring diagram for the headlight system. Heres my plan:
1. Cut and cap the brown wire leading to the Fog Light switch
2. Tap the Ignition brown wire leading to the DRL module (Terminal F), and run this to the cut brown wire of the fog light switch.
3. Cut and cap Lt Green wire from high beams to switch. Ground Lt Green from switch.
4. Bypass DRL as usual (Lt Blue > Lt Blue / White and Dk Blue > Dk Blue / White)
5. Remove Fog Light Relay, Jumper pins F11 to F3.
If I'm correct, this should allow me to operate the fog lights via the switch regardless of the headlights being on, off, low beam, high beam, whatever.
Anyone want to chime in on this?

Your fogs should be able to come one with your parking lights and without your head lights needing to be on. Are you saying that you want your fog lights to be on and your parking lights off?

If you already have to flip the foglight switch on, flipping the parking lights on isn't much more effort. I do like the idea though. Hope it works!

I wont have to flip the fog light switch. I can leave it on. Ill be pulling current from the ignition wire, which is only hot when the key is in the run position. When i shut the car off, the fog lights will shut off. The switch is just there so I have the option of shutting them off. Almost like switchable DRLs, but the fogs will act as DRLs.

Ahh. I see. I always like the look of the driving lights on. My friends 01 has a sunoco hood and when he pulls up behind with the hood and driving lights, it looks awesome.
Hope your idea works though

I love the idea because I do believe with t/a's if you turn the parking lights on the headlights flip up? That would be really cool, I would love to have the head lights down but the foglights on.

I think you're referring to the center mount exhaust valence. Yes, its an SLP part. Its sold as a kit, with the center mount tips, two exhaust elbows, the valence panels and some mounting hardware. I know a lot of people hate the quad port in favor of the dual outlet center mount exhaust. Personally, I love it. You can usually score a pretty good deal on the setup, and it certainly sets your car apart from the crowd.

SnowMan5677,
I'm just throwing this out there, as it happened to me, but if your headlights flip up when you turn the switch on just for the parking lights, your headlight gears are on their way out.
I know this b/c it was happening to me before I changed to the brass gears. Once they were installed, I could turn on my Parking lamps (for the fogs) and my headlights would stay down. I don't know how it works in conjuction the way it does, but it does.
Hope this helps. (Sorry for the Hi-Jack)
