Default LT1 head casting numbers?

Hey I have a question about LT1 heads.
Is there any of the aluminum heads that are a better casting or anything like that? or are they all the similar?

Thanks
Aaron

Lots of info on this out there- the 10128374 and 10207643 are the ones AI will port for you. the 561 castings are ok for porting, but flow best as-cast vs the older 2 castings from 93-95. If you want the best as they popped out from the factory, try the 561s. If you want porting from mild to max effort, go with the older 2 castings or go aftermarket if you prefer.

96-97 were mostly the 561s. 374 was a 93-94 casting, IIRC.

I have a pair of 374s and a pair of 643s ready to go to AI. Tax refund is for ***** this year so it'll have to wait until summer, since I also need a $680.00 stall, $300.00 for rear gears & installation kit, $240.00 rockers, $300.00 cam to make it all work.

I hear ya, I kept thinking all winter I was gonna go ahead and get my heads done and buy a cam. Then I remembered all the little pieces that have to go with it, tune, rockers, poly locks, guide plates, gaskets, injectors, you know the rest.

Suddenly it wasn't so cheap anymore
