Chirping??
I've done a few searches but haven't come up with much for this.
I have the bad chirping under the hood on cold startups. BAD. After the car warms up for 10 min or so it goes away completely. It also speeds up with Rpms.
I've replaced all the pulleys, tensioner ac etc.
Each time the noise goes away for about a week maybe a little more then comes right back.
I did install underdive pulleys before the sound started. The belts are aligned right I believe.
Any fixes???? I'm getting really frustrated and all the pulleys have been changed with no luck...and when they are changed it stops but comes right back...

I wonder if this is the chirp that I have. I have the same thing like megatron, when I start my car on cold start there's a weird clicking noise or I guess chirp that eventually goes away when I drive for a bit. A week after I got my car I did a radiator flush, hopefully they didn't mess anything up, and I don't remember if I started hearing this before or after I got a radiator flush :/ Oh and when I did the radiator flush, for three days straight my car was leaking antifreeze when I would first start the car, they tighten the holes where it was coming from so it stopped, that was prolly the issue or I heard it was normal to leak antifreeze the first few days of getting it changed. But any who, I just got used to this sound, could after all be normal, not really 100 percent sure if your chirp is my chirp.

just fixed my chirp on accident. i needed to replace the alternator and when i did magically the chirp was gone. would have never thought that the alt would make those noises. i thought it was a peske belt that wouldn't quiet down. so before you go replacing pulleys on a whim check your alternator out and see if that might be it.

I gotta try that. If that's the fault, u think it's because of the radiator flush? I'm just worrying myself for nothing, think every is fine on my end lol.

I've got weird chirping on my v6 when its cold too .. it seems to go away once the engine is warmed .. Im pretty sure its the belt / tensioner or something that has to do with that assembly ..

Allright so I officially have the same chirpity chirp chirp. Does this have anything to do with a radiator flush did I did a couple months back? I'm not sure if this started happening before or after the flush bcuz when I did a flush I was paying more attention to any noise and it so happened that I noticed this chirp. Is this a bad thing? What's the official verdict of this?

I doubt it has to do with a radiator flush I it was a few months ago, any fluid on the belt prob if off by now.
But mine never did it before I put the underdrive pulleys on, can my new crank pulley or alt pulley be throwing the pulley off track?
And tried to AC turn off before and it doesn't matter. After replacing my tensioner and ac pulley it stopped both times, but came back after a week.
Again this never happened before the aftermarket pulleys went on..

I took my car into GM under warranty 2 times for this. Both times they replaced the belt and the chirp came back. I then proceeded to buy a goodyear gator back serpentine and ac belt and have never had the chirp again. Not saying this is the answer but is something to try.
