They built the trans which is performing great, but what stall. I'm thinking 3200 is to low.

With nitrous you will want a lil tighter converter as the spray will loosen it up. You could run a looser one, don't know if it would be worth spending the dough though.

I would talk your combo over with the converter manufacturers and see what they think. Yank, Circle D, FTI, or PTC would all be good choices IMO.

Ask greg, he talked me out of going bigger than my 3800 as it really wasn't needed with my turbo spooling where it does.

I'd say 3600-3800, but you can go bigger if the converter is done as a power added convertor. When you hear people say oh my 4000 stall blew through after adding nitrous, is because the converter was never meant to see a power adder to begin with.

Yea, I was using this converter with my stock LS1 running 13's. I think I need a different stall after reading some of these cars running 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 60's with way less HP and Tq than I have. Now I have the dilemma that if I get a converter that performs N/A will it perform with the N2O. I guess talking to a rep from one of the companies listed above would be the best advice.

camarorat, Give me a call at 1-866-726-8358 and we will design a converter to work with your combo. We have cnc machined stators to work with nitrous and yet get the stall desired.

Greg
