Default purely out of curiosity.... 750rwhp...

so im very happy with my setup, and the power it made...

say in the future i want more power (which i probably will) and wanted an ultimate goal of 750rwhp. how doable is it with the D1SC? My future plans were to forge my motor (rods/pistons), main studs/headstuds/ls9 gaskets, 317 heads (stock), replace my cam with bobs blower cam, meth kit and run like a 3.40" blower pulley on the SDCE J-bracket. and hope to be right around 14-16psi. how close would i be to my ultimate goal? just out of curiosity of course. itd be a year before id foge the motor, unless mine takes a **** during nice weather next year.

Thanks!

Its deff possible. There's a couple of cars that made around that and even more with a D1SC.

Very nice setup. i find it really hard paying $2000+ for a set of heads though :-/ id almost just have a set of 317's ported/polished locally and see where that gets me. i thought about upgrading my headers/exhaust system also..

i wish my engine bay was as clean as yours.

I'm running patriot heads for now. I plan on switching now since I want to run big boost but so far I've put down 822/726 with these heads. You'd be surprised what you can make streetable with a good tire and a good suspension.

D1SC maxed on pump and meth two years ago. 770rwhp with a HKE 347 and an 01 ls1 cam. Boost was 17ish but I had restrictive exhaust. Car ran like a bat out of hell but then the block let go.

What pulley and comp. were you?

Yeah 750rwhp is very doable with a D1SC. I put down right at 754rwhp @ 15psi. I drive mine on the street and it does just fine rolling around.

Ok cool. I was just seeing how doable it was as far as what I would need to get it done in the future. Id like to build up an LQ9, but I think forging my 346 would be cheaper.

You might want to consider the Aster bracket, as it uses the ProCharger 7.65 crank pulley, where the SDCE uses a smaller 7.25 pulley. With the Aster bracket you won't have to run as small of a pulley on the head unit. Here is a link to it. http://shop.brutespeed.com/Aster-Aut...er-Bracket.htm Bob

I wonder if a meth kit would help mine that much more. I made 754/707. This last time I made right at 700/700 and it was dropping off after 5500rpms.

well my plans for next year were to...

-Add 4.00" Pulley (Try to get 8psi out of it instead of 5.5ish...)
-Meth kit 100%
-New exhaust (mines too loud)
-Suspension
-retune
-Maybe get rid of my BBK intake and try to pick up a FAST or just grab an LS6

i wonder if id be over 600rwhp?? i would think so.
