Modular Turbo PS line kit installed.... on a PROCHARGED car... (pics)
First of all I would like to thank Rob @ Modular Turbo for the opportunity to have such a simple but perfect kit, not only for me and my car, but all of us here.
Literally a week ago I was dreading installing all the crappy hoses and hard lines from the factory after getting my new motor in. With all thats cluttered in the front end lower driver side of the motor with a Procharger I was wanting to ditch the stock PS cooler. Right in time Modular Turbo came out with this kit... which is why as soon as I saw their introductory thread I ordered it the same day.
Anyways... Rob asked me to document the install with some photos to show that this kit can also be routed around for a car using a Procharger setup. It worked out great... just a couple very slight routing changes and it goes in just fine. The only thing I didnt use in the kit was the 15mm bolt and 2 hold clamps.... as the spot for those to be bolted to is taken by accessory and Procharger mounting spots. The way the hoses route really deem those hold clamps not necessary for a Procharged car.
The kit literally took me 20-30 minutes to install... with basic tools. I did already have my stock stuff out of the way for the motor install so with that in mind... add another 15-20 minuted to drain the PS fluid and remove stock lines. This was installed on a stock brand new pump and factory stock rack. (please excuse the dirty rack... my old lines had leaked all over the damn place, another reason I wanted to get rid of them)
Here are some pics.
This pic shows where the half rubber/half SS line comes down and out.... I routed it behind the alternator and right down and out below the alternator vent.
This shows where both lines come down in relation to eachother.
All hooked up! I installed my Procharger bracket for these pics just to ensure there was no way it would cause any issues.
These are the only tools I needed to install the kit.
-19mm deep
-19mm wrench
-18mm wrench
-3/8 ratchet
-Pliers
For those using the bolt and hold clamps... add a 15mm to that list.
If you want to get technical..... 1.5 Coors lights too....
Thanks Rob and Modular Turbo!
