Which Republican Candidate and Why
I'm interested in seeing who yall plan on voting for in the upcoming primary, and what reasons you have for supporting him. Maybe when I'm not so lazy I'll keep a tally for ***** and giggles. This is all in good fun, so try to keep it as friendly as possible.
For example, I plan to vote for Newt due to his record on taxation, free trade, and regulation. I also like Ron Paul, who has a pristine record on the same issues; his foreign policy views, however, are quite dangerous in my opinion

Ron Paul got booed saying that the United States needs to treat other nations as we would like to be treated. That's the golden rule. Ron Paul got booed for respecting the golden rule. Since when was the golden rule unpopular?
We have too many issues at home to worry about right now to even consider electing another War Hawk like Newt.

Does anyone have a good reliable place to get some truthful information on the candidates?
I'm so sick of trying to weed through crap I am losing interest. It's like trying to sit through a bullshit Fox news broadcast without throwing up my hands and yelling "wtf?!"

Normally my views fall towards the other side of the fence and more often than not in the Libertarian range...but these days it seems things are polarizing so strong from both sides it's just miserable.
While I am fairly certain Ron Paul couldn't do a lot of what he says he wants to do, I like the ideas anyway.
IIRC he is a pro lifer, but I haven't had a deeper look into his views on the more scientific/research aspects of that topic. I personally hold a very pro choice view and even more so in regards to stem cell research, but I wouldn't rule out a truly worthy candidate based on that alone.

Newt can go EAD.
I'm for anyone that will end the war on drugs, decriminalize pot and bringing the troops home from every country or who is going against Obama if all else fails.

Jk
On a serious note, the war against drugs in america will never end.
America has the power and intel to eliminate the drug trade in a single strike if it wanted too im sure. But if all of the major drug figures are eliminated and the drug trade is severly crippled. Do you know how many people will be out of work in america? I suspect 1000s upon 1000s. Sad but true.
