Default 4l60e trans fitting question

I am wondering if I can change the trans lines fittings to ones frome a 350 turbo and them not leak? thread pitch appears the same as does the thread length.

Thanks for the reply,I was hoping i could put the old fittings in there. Don't care much for the push in and clip setup.

The thread on the 4L60E is 1/4" NPS (straight) not NPT, you should use the NPS fitting with a steel/brass gasket (as your stock one is). You can get away with using a NPT, but if over thighten, you can crack your Trans Case.

NOS487.. is there a reason your going with AN -8.. bit of an over kill for most applicaiton unles your racing or something or have a problem of overheading and trying to increase flow and cooling ? Most cars / trucks use 3/8" / AN -6 fitting and lines.. but its not a problem going AN -8.

Just asking as I about to start on my Trans lines soon.
