Default Throttle Body to go with PP 96mm intake?

I just purchased a complete kit Professional Products Typhoon 96mm intake for my 00 WS6. Does anyone know what kind of throttle body I should get for it? Iv'e heard bad things about the PP throttle body, and that it accepts an ls2 throttle body. Would I see any issues using an ls2 throttle body on an ls1?

does it have 3 bolts or four bolts for mounting the tb. any tb will work as long it is 3 for ls1 style intake or 4 for ls2 style intake.

its a four bolt mounting system which is why it accepts the gm ls2 throttle body. but is the ls2 throttle body not that good, i just want a reliable throttle body that i can port up to at least 96mm. if i can port the throttle body up to 101mm that would be good as well because the typhoon intake can be ported up to 101mm as well.

An ls2 tb won't work as its dbw and your t/a is cable operated so I say go with a 92mm or hog it out and go 102, what size maf are you running???

In for pics and reviews of this product, as well as exactly which TB you put on it. Since the guy I bought my car from put the LS1 intake back on it, I figured I might as well upgrade past the LS6.

im not going to have any pics anytime soon since my engine wont be in my possession for at least another 2 months (383 build)

also i know the ls2 throttle body is electronically controlled, but ive seen plenty on ebay, amazon that were cable driven....im not trying to be an ******* im just trying to get a feel for what the best TB is for my particular intake...i found a 92mm TB by Godspeed on amazon and i would port it out to 96 to port match the intake...ive just never heard of the company...i just want a reputable throttle body the ls2 guys use, other then the oem one

I used a FAST 92, but I recall seeing PP makes a 96mm. Doesn't matter, just get a 4 bolt cable driven tb and install that intake

What have you heard about PP96 TB problems? I had
none with my 85mm one, other than I didn't like the
draw length needed to pull the throttle cam they
supplied and reworked it to get more angle per inch.
As far as seating, IAC function, TPS readings etc. it
was all fine.

There's "issues", and there's "issues". If I can fix them
with a drill and a rat tail file, I don't worry about those.

well it seems on this site nobody likes the typhoon intake because of so called "heat soaking" but someone made a pretty good point, i think it was you jimmy, that you wont see heatsoaking unless you live in arizona, run your car with no radiator, and drive full throttle all the time (obviously no one would do that)

The throttle body I have heard does not have great flow, and i dont recall where i read that which is why i was looking into a different TB. but if you say that the PP is good ill take your word for it

i guess ill probably just run the PP 85 mm TB or ill get the godspeed TB
