Default 2006 lq9 reluctor question

I found a 2006 ss sliverado 6.0 lq9 but I was under the impression the reluctor wheel (58) would not work in my 99 TA.. 24 tooth... whats this box I hear about to translate the signal..>? any quick help.. I want to buy this block if it will work for me... hurry hurry... please let me know...

oh hell.. I didnt even read your location.. theyre around here in dfw.. come up one weekend, Im sure we can find you a 6.0 somewhere... the lq4s are pretty common... ls3s not so much.. Ill be having an "swap" party.. (not like the ones I had in college) in a few weeks... haha

No need for crank swap or converter box.
If its a lq4 or lq9. Crank and sensors direct swap. They are 24x crank engines.
6.0 ly6 2008+ is when they came 58x.
If its a 2006 lq9 it will be a easy swap.
Need ur crank pulley,oil pan,windage tray,tube.
Srnsors plug right in.

You got me... I have no clue.. seen shortblocks go for 1k all the way up to 7k... just depends.. the one im getting is a factory low mileage shortblock..

i thought it was 2005 they swapped...? oh well, cheaper build still...

Not necessarily true.
All lq engines lived as 24x thru 2007. The last yr. For the awesome lq series.
Some of the 4.8/5.3 started getting 58x as early as 05.
Even the original ls2 were 24x for a year.
1st year c6 was 24x ls2
05 ls2 gto was 24x ls2

sooo the 2006 chevy silverado 2500hd 2wd that this 6.0L motor came out of that im looking at buying is a 24x reluctor....and can swap into my 1962 with a 5.3L thats already in adn running....computer, harness and everythingshould be the same?
