Default 2014 Cadillac ATS-V Pic

Bit from Car & Driver on the new ATS-V @ ATS-V.com.. what do you guys think of the look. Looks like they basically took a CTS-V and changed the headlights, but I like it.

I personally always loved the sedan over the coupe. The coupe just doesn't look right to me and that's probably the only sedan in the world I like. I've always been a two door kind of guy.

are they planning a ATS coupe? This is NOT the CTSV. A smaller TT V6 version there in.

I thought I read they are planning an ATS coupe. And no, this is obviously not a CTS-V, its an ATS-V and will hopefully be powered by the new LS series engine, not an overweight TT OHC V6.

I love the look of the coupe, but the back end of it definitely irks me for some reason. It just seems to high up and out, kinda like a stripper with her *** in the air if you know what I mean . I don't mind it with strippers, but on the CTS-V it's a little TOO much IMO.

Is that an actual pic released by GM, or just a random rendering done by merging the ATS with the CTS-V...? I'm guessing the latter.

That price range feels accurate though, which pushes it out of my range...

Yeah I think that's just some magazine's idea of what it might look like.
The wheels as well as some other styling cues are clearly borrowed directly from the CTS-V.
But I bet the new ATS-V will be a good performer as long as it gets enough power/suspension upgrades.

A coupe version of this would be freaking awesome! I love the way it looks and i love the fact that they got the weight relatively sane this time.

Current rumor on the powertrain is the V model will run a TT3.6 or an LSx V8 of some kind. Time will tell though. I think they are great looking cars and exactly what I'd want, but its going to be a bit out of my price range. Maybe I'll luck out and get a lightly used one a few years down the road...

I prefer the CTS/V look but all I know is that interior is awesome & who couldn't fall in love with the CUE technology!!! Probably just throw a updated LS2 into the ATS-V

That interior is money. I haven't had a chance to check out CUE but it sounds pretty cool. I'm familiar with Chrysler's UCONNECT and the CUE sounds much better..

Know what would be interesting? If it had optional AWD and a manual trans.

Not sure about the V model, but the ATS will have an AWD option. No idea on manual trans with the AWD either. We'll have to wait and see.

LS2 has been out of production since 2008 or so. Replaced by the LS3/L99/L78 depending on application.

Best guess is TT V6 or DI 6.2.

Looks good, didnt realize the price for the V would be in the $55,000 range. If its a TT V6 Id rather get a used CTS-V or 335xi for less money..

Thumbs up

Would LOVE to see a 6.2L V8 in the ATS-V but I too am guessing that it will be a TTV6 as well, which will still perform very well I'm sure.
