Default 92mm or 90mm throttle body

Hey guys, I currently have a 99 Trans Am (as I have posted in other threads lol) and I am going to swap the LS1 with a 7.0 with a 80mm turbo, I also bought a 102mm Fast Intake manifold and ive been told to go with a smaller throttle body than 102mm for better performance and more air pressure suction of air... What do you guys recommend??

There are a TON of threads about this! Short answer: On a bigger cubic engine, like the 7.0L LS7, you are going to benefit from the larger TB! I'd go 102mm!

I recommend you put whoever told you that crap, on
your "do not listen to" list. Because velocity at the inlet
to the manifold doesn't do dick for you, if you're trading
lost mass flow and lost plenum pressure for it.

Yeah! I mean ive know that 102mm throttle works great for a 102mm intake manifold, but this guys said "naww broo, go with a 90mm or 92mm because 102mm is too big" soo I said this is bullshit, there only one place to know the truth, soo I posted it here LS1Tech ive been correct this whole time I just had to end with doubts! THANKS GUYYS! Appreciate the help!

No such thing as a tb too big. Unless it causes tuning issues. Then you just need a tuner that knows what he is doing. A 102 will work just fine on a stock ls1 if the tune is right.

A TB isn't like a carb. There is no such thing as too big as others have stated. The most noticable gain from a larger TB is throttle response unless your motor really breathes.
