Default Low LSA cam question

im trying to pick a cam for my car but nobody seems to be able to help me any..

i have an 88k mile 98 LS1 and im going heads cam intake but not touching the stock shortblock AT ALL. its going to have 5.3 heads so i can get a compression bump and boost my low end torque and an LS2 intake and 92mm throttle body and a 92mm LS3 maf (no i dont want an LS6 because i want to run 92mm from the lid to the intake and i find it a waste of money for a FAST for a street car no offense to those who have one)

so im going to have the rev limiter at around 6300 so i dont have to worry as much about a rod bolt failure

i want a decent size cam to make 425+ at under 6300 rpm... so i can shift around 6100-6200

one im looking at makes 440rwhp at 6400 rpms on a 113 LSA
if i do that cam as a 236/236 .602/.602 at 110 LSA would it drop my powerband enough to hit peak power before my rev limiter??

if i can get it to make peak power at around 6k ill be set...

nobody???

talked to Tom at New Era and seems like the street sweeper on a 111 or 110 lsa would work well for my needs. the 111 peaks at 6300 so the 110 should be a little lower correct?

Torquer v3 on a 113 would bring power in early, and carry it all the way to 6500, probably peaking a little earlier. However, the Ls2 intake will choke it off so it might peak earlier. The ls6 with a stock tb would be a better choice with 85mm from that to the lid...

the thing is i dont want my RPM's anywere near 6500. i want to shift at 6200 the absolute latest...

also the RPT cnc machined LS3 maf housing only comes in 92mm or 102mm and i dont think i want to bottleneck it down from a 92 to an 85

heres the streetsweeper cam

IMO, get the LS2 intake ported it needs it!
Any Idea what the ICL is with the SSHT with a 111 and 110lsa?
I'd go probably go with a 107 ICL.
With a 230 or larger intake duration a 110 or 109lsa and a 106 ICL.
I also wouldn't larger than a 231 on the intakes side.

the streetsweeper on the dyno graph i posted is a 236/240 .630/.615 111 LSA

this is the mod list for the car it was in
stock LS1 long block
Street Sweeper cam
American Racing 1 7/8" headers
New Era ported throttle body/ LS6 intake
Tuned by Mike@newera
426RwHP 387wTQ

im going to be running some mildly ported 5.3's instead of the perimeter bolt 98 heads

The speed inc SI5 is 231/237 .589/.595 112 LSA

the dyno was stock longblock LS1 LS6 intake and longtubes through an A4

I'd go with the street sweeper HT, first and foremost.

Get the LS2 intake out of your head. They don't flow anywhere near what an LS6 does; It's not about the TB, lid, or MAF size. It's about flow. I hit my #'s with an SLP lid and stock MAF, the so called "choke points" you're referencing.

My cam is smaller than the ones you're looking at as well...

Mike really knows his ****. That's real talk. If I was you I'd call him and explain your goals for the car. Let him help you get there. One stop shopping is always a bonus in the long run.
