Default Low or high imped?

Given the choice between the 2, what's the better injector to run for a mostly stock 5.3, mostly on the street? Bene's/neg's would be nice. My EFI system will run either. Looking at Siemens 83lbs for around 350.00, or Holley low imp for around 400.00. Thanks!!!

I have the same simmens high Z 83's and they work well with my holley efi on both e85 and gas. The low Z botch injectors I have will surge at idle no matter what I do. Just ordered fic 2000's and haven't had time to try them yet.

Thanks.

Are you saying the low z will surge with the Holly efi? What size are they?

I'm leaning towards the Siemens, but some say the low z are better, but others say the newer z injectors are as "fast" as the low z jobs.

Im not sure about the low Z surging in the 80 lb injector but there is a good chance the 160's will. The holley is a really picky system at idle. Im still learning with it so maybe someone with more experience could make the 160's work. I can just say they wern't working for me and the sim 83's work perfect.

I have the Holley 120's. They work great on my 5.3 with both pump gas and E85. No surging idle. I did have a surging idle before I got the tune dialed in.

The modern Siemens, Bosch, ID or whatever 83lb or similar sizes are well proven injectors.

I'd choose them over the older spec lowZ stuff any day.

chiaj144, would you say they idle as good as a smaller injector? Are you also running the Holley EFI?

I'm running a Holley HP. My car idles like a stocker even on pump gas. I was worried that they would be too big.
