Having just bought a new TC from Yank for an 80 conversion, you can take two routes. You can buy a 60 style 3 bolt flexplate and have your TC builder make your new 80 TC come with that style mounting. This doesn't require any doesn't require any curved plate spacers or anything special.

Or, you can get a truck style curved plate, 6 bolt mounting, spacer required. The only advantage to this is that it allows for larger diameter TCs, like the ones found in trucks. Yank will only use the larger TC housings for their multi-disk units.

I went with their Pro-Yank single disk so it will work with the Hughes SFI plate that I used with my 60. Yank, Vig, Circle D, and probably others all can make 80 TCs that will mount on a 60 style plate.

Bottom line, if you don't need a giant multidisk TC and aren't using a stock truck TC, stick with the 3 bolt 60 style plate.
