Default Carb spacer

Since myself and speed tigger have gone to a nitrous plate in favor of a spacer, he mentioned a spacer to keep heat out of the carb.

I went ahead and ordered a 1 inch cheap plastic(I say cheap yet it is very solid) spacer. I had a 2 inch spacer. So not I will have the spacer stacked under the carb and then the 1/2 inch nitrous plate.

Went ahead and just got nearly finished porting it like the high dollar CNC spacers as I did the 2 inch.

So, hope my part throttle cruise improves again like the 2 inch. It does help.

I had thought about doing that a number of times with the 1" 4 hole spacer I had....just never done it and sold all 4 I had siting on the shelf for years (1" 4-hole, 1" open, 2" open, and a Q-jet to square bore adapter)

But what you got done looks good

Good enough and better than 4 regular holes I'm sure. Takes maybe an hour or so. I cut it with my carbides and the finish it with cartridges as if porting and polishing heads.

Cool! I've got the 1 inch plastic HVH atop my Big Shot plate. That combo makes good use of every last mm of my 4 inch cowl.

I talked to the Holley rep, and he said my big rectangle port heads would probably really get some help from a 4 hole under the carb, what you guys thin? He said the signal is weak with my 950 ultra hp carb, and it would help the signal alot. I have a spacer alot like yours zone.

Low speed driving feels better now. Like before will less hickups at cruise, none at all really.

Should increase velocity, but the 4 hole I think makes an even smoother transition from the venturis. This is all just an assumption but makes sense.
