Default Dumb question about cam

So i know this isnt more than likely going to help my situation because I know there are lots of variables here but I have a Trans am that has a Moroso CAI, SLP LM exhaust and stock manifolds with a rebuilt motor by the previous owner(the motor was however rebuilt by a fairly reputable shop in his area) i have the receipts for it. However it just says after market camshaft I have no idea what size. I do know it has crane 1.6 SA RRrs atleast. My question is does this cam sound small, medium or what to you guys?

Not that simple unfortunately, currently w.o license. Long story. Already have long tubes to put on it and a tune lined up when that happens but it'll be a few months, just wanted some guesses/feedback

No way we can really say, a bad or stock tune can make a very mild cam sound more aggressive than it is.

All I can say is it's more cam than should be run with stock manifolds
There's no scavenging going on, so the overlap is seriously diluting the intake charge, which results in the "eight-stroking" you hear. It should help a bunch to get those longtubes on there.
Let us know what the tune gives you.

You might grab a dial indicator and measure lift, that is really easy with minimal dissassembly. Could give us some idea.

Might be as simple as stock tune on an aftermarket cam, might be a mechanical problem. Hopefully it isn't something really dumb like stock springs with an aftermarket cam.

Sure. These engines are 4-stroke cycle, meaning they should fire every 4 strokes ......intake,compression(fire here),power, exhaust.
When you have too much exhaust dilution because of overlap that the exhaust scavenging didn't take care of, it doesn't ignite until the next time around when the backflow from the exhaust side is simply UNBURNED mixture from the previous misfire.
The primary tubes of headers lend momentum to the column of spent exhaust gases to help scavenge the burnt mixture from the cylinder better and also draws on the intake column during the valve overlap period before the descending piston even starts to pull on the intake.

You notice how a 2-stroke engines usually sound rough at idle? ....they're 4-stroking

The receipts I have say that it has 7.2 chromoly pushrods, crane gold 1.6s, and a Crower Spring Kit. So i assume the valvetrain isnt the issue.
